A practical rope bag
A no-frills rope bag - the Edelrid Liner Bergfreunde Edition is a real minimalist! The liner can accommodate all single ropes up to 80 metres long. The rope bag has a simple shoulder strap and is therefore ideally suited for short approaches to a crag from the car park or for the walk to the climbing gym. It reliably protects your ropes from dirt and so increases their longevity (small dirt particles can rub between the fibres of ropes and cause them to age more quickly).
The integrated rope tarp ensures that your ropes don't need to lie on the ground when outside. Plus, it makes it easier to move them from one corner of the climbing hall to the other. To avoid your ropes from getting tangled in transit, the two rope ends can be tied into the loops provided inside the Edelrid Liner.

Ive been using this rope bag for about a year now and it performs exactly as hoped for. Perfect for short approaches and keeps the rope clean when climbing.
The thin strap can be uncomfortable on longer approaches or with multiple/heavier ropes.

I love this bag. It means I don't have to carry the rope on my sac, which would make my sac heavier to get on and off. It's strong enough for the job and weighs very little.

I use this to keep a single rope tidy to and from the indoor wall. Perfect for this task. The shoulder strap can be used as such or sort of like a compression strap to suck the ends of the bag in. Probably pretty durable, not had it long enough to know yet :-)
