I have now used this compact rucksack on a good number of trips both 2-3 hour hiking and everday use and it has proved very valuable. I bought it to carry essentials for hydration, light waterproofing coat, first aid and dog water/bowl. I loved the extra option to make it expandable if a light thermal layer or lunch is also needed. As a bonus it fits well under airplane seats for a lightweight carry on. Sturdy material and inbuilt waterproof cover a thoughtful touch.This is a high viz yellow colour, so could helpfully also be used to attract attention in an emergency situation.
