Product description
Brrrr it’s so cold out!
The Arrow Trail Parka from Columbia is perfect for colder weather. Made of a Omni-Tech Rebound Stretch material, it’s guaranteed to be waterproof and breathable. The fabric is also very durable. The interior consists of Omni-Heat Infinity advanced thermal reflective technology, which is a kind of thermal foil. It looks like a rescue blanket, except that this fabric is much more breathable. When you slip into this jacket, your own body heat is reflected back to you, so you’ll stay toasty warm. The jacket also has a lightweight synthetic down insulation.
Some other great features include the detachable and adjustable drawstring hood and the 2-way zip that you can open from the bottom when you need more freedom of movement.
What are these technologies?
- Omni-Tech is Columbia's own membrane. This is waterproof, dirt-resistant and breathable. It functions similarly to the well-known GORE-TEX membranes. The Omni-Tech membrane has 3 layers with a coated outer layer that allows water droplets to roll off. The middle layer has water-repellent properties, and the inner layer is quick drying. It’ll even wick your sweat away.
- Omni-Heat acts like a rescue blanket. The inside of the jacket has small silver dots. Each of these reflects your body heat back to you. As a result, the jacket doesn't require thick insulation, because it’ll be able to warm you up effectively. The jacket is also breathable because there is space between the dots through which sweat can escape into the membrane.
