Twelve-point crampons for classic alpinism
The Nuptse from Climbing Technology are made for classic alpine and mountaineering tours and glacier crossings. The Nuptse are twelve-point crampons that help you conquer couloirs, easy goulottes and ridges in changing weather conditions on a mix of rock and ice. The base frame is made of a hardened, painted steel frame with a durable plastic to increase the lifespan.
Practical features, versatile and made in Italy
When walking on icy and snow-covered surfaces, you will notice that the ribbed front points provide excellent grip. The crampons are not only adjustable to your shoe size, but the flexible adjustment bar also allows them to be used with non-rigid boots.

Used these in Norway for some winter hiking and they probably did save our lives from slipping down mountains. I definitely felt more confident walking in them. However, they are hard to put on when you have cold fingers. Also they are a little loose fitting because there's no real instructions on how to put them on so you just have to wing it. Because they are loose fitting it means when you walk you could accidentally trip up on a loose bit, which is obviously life threatening on a snowy mountain. Am I happy with my purchase? Yes. Would I buy these again if I lost my current pair? No.
