For alpinists, ice climbers and sport climbers - the Lime Screwgate Bergfreunde Edition is a carabiner for all rocks, north faces and ice ridges. The screwgate carabiner is one of Climbing Technology’s best sellers and boasts a wide variety of excellent features. Plus, it is available in a stylish red tone exclusively for Alpine Trekkers. It is compact, lightweight and has a strong breaking load. You can combine it with a safety device, use it to set up belay stations or simply used whenever else you might need a locking carabiner.
Durable yet lightweight
The Lime SG is hot-forged and shaped in such a way as to reinforce high-stress areas. In other areas, material was deliberately left out to save weight. The load-optimised D-shape transfers the load directly to the strong carabiner spine, making it significantly lighter than an oval or HMS carabiner while retaining the same breaking strength. In addition, the screwgate is easy to grip and the keylock nose ensures good handling. Be it high mountains or steep rocks - the Lime SG is up to the challenge!

a bit small, but for the money it is excellent value (or at least was when I bought it) it takes wear well, but will show on the surface where the anodized finish rubs off, although that helps when inspecting your gear, makes it clear when it needs replacing.
