Product description
This kind of figure eight belay device has been trustworthy companion for climbers since the 1970s. It is perfect for regulating the speed of rappels. The model Camp Large Figure 8 is somewhat larger and a bit heavier than normal figure eight devices. This makes rappelling on 2 kinked ropes easier when different belaying techniques are being used in a rope team. It also makes working with two thick single ropes and is great for use in mountain rescue techniques. The larger shape of the Large Figure 8 is also popular in caving, since ropes tend to really dirty.
