Product description
Single rope for sport climbing
The Jampa 9.5 from Beal has been specially designed for Alpine Trekkers and, as a single rope, is a loyal companion for experienced sport climbers in the hall and out on the crag. With its relatively small diameter, it should only be used if you are experienced in handling and belaying.
Durable and lightweight
However, the rope’s narrow diameter brings along numerous advantages. Its low weight is a great benefit, especially on difficult routes that push athletes to their limits. In addition, the smaller diameter is easier to clip. Those who have mastered belaying will appreciate the smoothness of the rope. Plus, in order to permanently protect the rope from any harmful environmental influences, it has been given the Thermofluid treatment.
Service life of the rope
The service life of Beal ropes is a maximum of 15 years from the date of manufacture, e.g. (5 years storage + 10 years use). Depending on the frequency of use, or if damaged, the expected service life can be reduced.
The advantages at a glance:
- Lightweight climbing rope for difficult routes
- Easy to clip
- Protective Thermofluid treatment

This is what other customers say:
Feels lovely and supple. The 9.5 mm diameter is a nice compromise of not too thick and light enough.
It may be a bit dynamic! If you're not used to it.
I bought a 30M and then liked it enough to buy another 60M for outdoor pitches.
The lairy lime green and orange is nice too!

Got this mainly for climbing indoors, however have found myself trad climbing on it more often then not.
for the price it is a solid bit of kit, feels good in the hand and it flows through my belay device when giving slack. Its yet to fray and I've climbed on it a lot now (compared to my last one that started fraying within weeks of use).
