Product description
Light and warm synthetic jacket
The Atom SL Hoody synthetic jacket from Arc'teryx is a natural partner for athletic activities and the demanding conditions that come with them. With this jacket you can enjoy pleasant warmth at low temperatures, breathable properties on sweaty climbs and water-repellent treatment that prevents moisture from penetrating - a range of features that are indispensable for a wide variety of use. The jacket is also fitted with a hood to protect your sensitive head area. This hood is insulated and can be adjusted using a drawstring. Should you reach the summit with sweaty hair, the hood can serve as a replacement for a hat and give you a few more minutes of marvellous views.
High-quality insulating materials
Lightweight insulation materials from Coreloft keep you warm even when wet and can withstand years of packing away and unpacking without being damaged and, as a result, without any loss of thermal performance. Meanwhile, the Atom SL Hoody synthetic jacket from Arc'teryx features side inserts made from elasticated fibres that ensure an optimal fit and greater freedom of movement.
The advantages at a glance:
- High-quality and insulating synthetic jacket
- Breathable and wind-repellent materials
- Close-fitting cut and stretchy material

Delivery time was very good
This jacket has not been used much but it was bought to replace a similar Arc Teryx jacket that worked very well.
It was used for walking and climbing in the Brish mountains
Nothing negative to say.

Fantastic jacket- bit expensive but super to wear. Do not like the hoody so much- useful but I look like one of my "cool" students- hope they make them without soon-

Disadvantages
Hoody to causual
This lives in my rucksack nowadays - it packs down really small and is so light, I hardly notice it in there! It provides great instant warmth during hiking breaks, while packing up the tent on a chilly morning, while sitting in a Scottish bothy waiting for the fire to get going......it has so many uses! It is such a simple yet versatile piece - no fancy stuff, just elasticated cuffs, a simple drawcord and no more pockets than are needed. The only negatives I have about the jacket is that the hood isn't insulated (so be sure to pack a woolly hat as well!) and that I think the zip seems a bit flimsy.....and I'm not sure the few grams of weight saved by a lightweight zip really matters. However, 8 months on and the zip is still going strong, so perhaps it is more robust than it looks. But I'm being picky....this is a great jacket and I'd recommend it to anyone.
