Lightweight and compact tent for the mountains
Lightweight, compact and yet absolutely reliable - it must be the Assault 2 Futurelight 2-person tent from The North Face! This highly functional tent is the ideal companion for demanding mountain adventures.
Particularly effective is its unique Futurelight material - a waterproof membrane with air permeability. Unlike conventional membranes that only allow water vapour to pass through, the nanostructure of Futurelight ensures optimum breathability AND ventilation without compromising on waterproofness and durability. Plus, the 3-layer fabric is made using fully recycled nylon and features a durable water-repellent DWR finish.
The outer tent is made from a particularly tough 30 denier ripstop nylon with a PU/silicone coating, which permanently defies the elements. The floor is made from 40 denier nylon ripstop with a PU/silicone coating and boasts a hydrostatic head of 3000 mm.
In addition, the Easton Syclone carbon fibre poles are lightweight and unbreakable. It’s partly situated on the inside and, together with the easy-to-assemble X-tent design, ensures pleasant handling and weight reduction. Moreover, the design of the roof ridge makes it easy to unpeg the tent and remove the poles.
Well thought-out design and great features
The special details of the Assault 2 Futurelight Tent include its removable inner tent and the two entrances, comprising of a front door and a rear "escape hatch". Two ventilation openings in the roof provide a pleasant amount of air exchange and large hangers are used for hanging equipment or securing clotheslines. All in all, you can casually sit out bad weather on the mountain in the Assault 2 Futurelight 2-person tent!
