A fall on a via ferrata can cause some serious injuries, so it’s best to avoid them all together. Individuals under 40 kg, children or inexperienced climbers must be belayed from above on vertical or difficult sections.
The Via Ferrata Top Belay from Skylotec includes the semi-automatic Lory belay device with panic function, a large handle for controlled descent as well as and clear instructions for correct use of the device. The 10 metre long dynamic single rope is suitable for most dangerous and exposed sections. The two screwgate carabiners, a sling and the bag supplied with the set make the Via Ferrata Top Belay a compact option for parents, group leaders, youth leaders and mountain guides!
