The Shimano SPD-SL SM-SH10 cleats are SPD-SL-compatible and have stiff binding for maximum efficiency. They were specifically designed for ambitious and very experienced road cyclists, as stiff binding requires a perfect setup, which is often only possible with a lot of experience and professional guidance. On the other side, the cleats firmly secure the entire shoe, so your heel won't slip with each and every rotation and you won't lose power. It's also important to mention that because of the stiff binding these cleats are not recommended for cyclists with knee problems.
