Product description
Down sleeping bag for winter outdoor adventures
The Spark -18° down sleeping bag from the outdoor specialists at Sea to Summit is a lightweight, yet very comfortable, very warm sleeping bag for winter camping. With a lower limit of -18° Celsius and a comfort temperature of -10°C, this sleeping bag is ideal for winter - at least if you're not travelling too far away! When unfolded, it can also be used as a blanket to keep you cosy and warm. The generously sized foot box also leaves you plenty of room in the feet area. The technical, comparatively large hood offers you both the best insulation performance and cosy comfort. Plus, the Spark -18° can be combined with women's specific sleeping bags and quilts from Sea to Summit. An ergonomically-shaped draught collar offers extra protection from the cold.
First-class choice of materials and workmanship
The outer material of the Spark -18° is both water repellent and breathable, ensuring extra comfort both inside and outside of a tent. In addition, the RDS-certified goose down insulation boasts a fill power of 850+ cuin, which ensures top-class thermal performance - all the more so with a fill weight of 945 grams! The down has been treated with Ultra Dry Down technology so that it has greatly improved water resistance and continues to warm even in damp conditions and does not lose its fluffiness so quickly either. Last but not least, the sleeping bag is designed with a relatively close-fitting mummy cut, which is intended to maximise thermal efficiency.

Reviews overview
This is what customers from around the world say:
Warm, lightweight, and very packable! I tested it this winter during two mountaineering trips in Greece, at around 2000 m altitude with temperatures dropping to –11 °C (close to its comfort rating). It performed really well, keeping me warm and comfortable throughout the nights. Extra clothing beyond base layers was not needed, though I generally sleep warm. If your legs feel very cold at first, a Nalgene bottle filled with hot water works perfectly. Note: it was used in combination with a Nemo sleeping pad with a high R-Value — otherwise, the bag alone might not deliver the expected performance.
The discount available at the time also helped me decide on the purchase, and I really appreciate that it comes with a detailed report of the down fill quality. My only suggestion would be for the yellow, more water-resistant fabric to extend over a larger area for added protection.
