We used it like 10-15 day hikes, like 5-8 times / day so I would like to be conservative 100 -120 times opened and closed total. I have 3 of them. 2 of these 3 are started to separate at the joints, so you can fill it up only up to the middle ring, above the water starts to run out. Not leak, the whole is much bigger.
