These shoes are very stiff - which is good for support, however I had to go half a size up as there was absolutely room or give in the toe area and my feet started to go numb after about 20mins of wearing. The bigger size is definitely more comfortable.
Also the tongue on them is odd - there is some very stiff leather with a sharp edge right at the top of the tongue which ends up digging into the lower shin - it's not too noticeable with thick socks. I'm hoping the leather will soften. I haven't worn them on a long walk yet, so I hope they don't cause too much bother ...
But aside from those niggles, they are decent shoes ... I like the low boot style, as some higher boots can aggravate an old achilles injury. They look good on too!

These shoes have a quality build but may be a little stiff for some. If you want an approach shoe that provides great stability and works well on easy climbs then this is for you.

SCARPA - Zodiac - Approach shoes - Women
1. Do you have spare laces in different colours for this shoe please?
2. Are the laces stretchy?
3. One review suggests they are stiff shoes...do they soften with use or do they cause blisters instead??
Hi Anna, This is actually a men's or unisex shoe. The women's specific model can be found here:

Sorry but we do not have spare laces available for these shoes. The laces will also not be stretchy , certainly not to any great extent.
They are definitely fairly stiff which you will become accustom to but they will not really soften too much with use. The element of stiffness is part of it's design.
Blisters are not caused by shoes but are caused by the movement of the heel in poor fitting footwear or if the shoes or boots are not tightened well enough.
