Product description
Perfectly balanced versatile climbing shoes
The Vapor V from Scarpa are absolute all-rounders suitable for just about every climbing discipline. Whether for bouldering, sport climbing or multi-pitch, these climbing shoes are sure to impress due to their perfectly balanced construction. They are ideal for all somewhat advanced climbers and boulderers who don't want to buy four or five specialised pairs of shoes, but rather one pair for everything. However, they are also an excellent all-round option for those who already dare to tackle harder projects. Basically, with the Vapor V you can climb everything from 6th to 11th grade (UIAA).
Construction
Boasting a modern asymmetrical last and a medium downturn with a flat toe profile, the shoes provide an excellent power transfer. Your midfoot receives great support and edging stability thanks to the special bi-tension system. The Flexan insert midsole, together with the relatively stiff Vibram XS Edge rubber sole, supports your feet especially well when standing on smaller footholds. Plus, the sole is grippy enough to offer stable traction on such ledges. As a result, the construction combines a fantastic balance of flexibility and support. Meanwhile, the microfibre and suede upper is extremely durable and features a small protective toe cap that helps to facilitate toe hooks.
Fit
The shoes feature a narrow cut and are best suited to climbers and boulderers with a Greek foot shape, i.e. anyone with a long second toe. They fit quite comfortably overall and are definitely not the kind of shoes you need to take off again immediately after every attempt on the bouldering wall. Thanks to the double hook-and-loop fasteners, their fit can also be easily adjusted.
Conclusion
The Vapor V are not highly specialised climbing shoes, but instead have enough of everything to convince in various disciplines, while also still being fun to use on the odd occasion for more technically demanding routes. They are the perfect all-round option for anyone climbing and bouldering at an intermediate to advanced level.

- Perfectly balanced all-purpose climbing shoes
- Suitable for almost all climbing disciplines

- Moderately asymmetrical
