Product description
Stable, supportive walking boots for a smooth ride
Built for long, difficult hill walks and challenging treks: meet the Quest 4 GTX from Salomon! The boots’ chassis has been reworked to stabilize the sensitive joints and to provide your feet with extra support. However, this doesn’t impair the smooth ride the boots guarantee. The walking boots ensure a stable and effortless walking feel, even if you’re getting tired from your long walk.
They can protect you against adverse conditions
The Quest 4 GTX can optimally protect your feet from adverse conditions thanks to their Gore-Tex membrane. The membrane ensures that the boots are both incredibly waterproof and breathable. In addition, the boots are equipped with Contagrip outsoles, so you’ll be able to walk on a variety of surfaces. In other words, you’ll feel just as comfortable on asphalt as you will on wet, dry and rocky surfaces. And, every one of your steps will be perfectly cushioned thanks to the comfortable EnergyCell midsole. Perfect for sensitive joints and uneven terrain – the Quest 4 GTX!
The highlights at a glance:
- Perfect boots for trekking and hard hill walks
- Stabilizes the ankles and supports your feet thanks to the revised chassis
- Waterproof and breathable thanks to the Gore-Tex

I have used previous models of these boots for many years without issue, i have to say the latest model are uncomfortable causing both feet to ache after short distances , the sole split and a section broke away after very few hours of use , they seem like a vastly inferior product compared to others . therefore i would not recommend for commited hiking trips and will in future be looking for a different brand as these boots in my opinion are not fit for purpose.

I hiked in Ireland in these shoes. The trails are boggy and often have to cross streams.
It's waterproof, breathable. Provides really good stability and support. Strongly recommend it.

I find these boots as comfortable as slippers when walking on rocky terrain. Surprisingly light for such a rugged boot. Great support for the ankles and protection for the soles of the feet. I found no need to break them in as they were fine on first wear.

... but Salomon changed the design from previous generation and there is a hard plastic piece on the side of the sole now what can be uncomfortable for some - while others does not notice it at all. it wasn't good for me, however I loved the previous generation.
