The Salomon Outline GTX has the lightness and flexibility of a running shoe with the grip of a walking boot. This versatile multisport shoe is built on a running last for comfort and responsiveness. For the necessary grip, this multisport shoe comes equipped with a high-traction outsole from Contagrip. As for protection, not only is the shoe equipped with a protective toe cap to shield you from debris, but it also has a breathable, windproof and waterproof GORE-TEX membrane to fend off bad weather. Lastly, the cushioning ergonomic Ortholite sole makes the Outline GTX from Salomon comfortable around the clock.

Surprised by this quality from Salomon. Poor ventilation, poor quality insole, rapid wear of the upper fabric.
For hiking they do not provide sufficient control. Low quality shoes, as for me only siutible to walk around town in cold rainy weather.
Waterproof quality is good.
