The Super Free Alpine Jacket from the outdoor and sustainability kings of Patagonia definitely lives up to its name – it's a superlative winter jacket for skiers, tourers and alpine climbers! A technical hardshell that combines perfect weather protection with low weight and high wearing comfort. The choice of materials reflects the sustainability aspect in the manufacturer's usual manner, as the main fabric is made from 100% recycled polyamide and the PlumaFill insulation in the hood is made from 100% recycled polyester. Thanks to the proven GORE-TEX membrane, the jacket is waterproof and windproof, yet remains breathable. The DWR coating, which makes the outer fabric permanently water-repellent, is of course PFC-free.
Clever details for more comfort in the mountains
The hood of the Super Free Alpine Jacket comes, as mentioned, with an additional, lightly insulated insert that wraps close to the face for the best protection from cold wind and wetness at that point; similar inserts at the cuffs do the same there, which will especially please climbers who have their hands over their heads.
