Down vest made of a recycled material and RDS-certified down
A down vest is an often underestimated means of protecting against the cold, and is a logical choice - especially when out and about. And with this in mind, Patagonia offers the Down Sweater Vest: a vest with a nylon ripstop outer material to make it suitably robust, resistant and durable, with an 800 fill power, made from RDS (Responsible Down Standard) certified goose down. This standard ensures that neither live birds, nor animals that have been force-fed have been plucked to harvest the down. As such, Patagonia fulfils its self-set objective of producing in a manner that is both as environmentally friendly as possible, and also as resource-efficient.
Perfect heat performance where you need it
A vest is the best option when you want to keep the centre of your body warm, but keep your arms free. The Down Sweater Vest is perfect in this regard. The down fill provides heat, which also remains inside thanks to the elasticated armholes and the adjustable hem. The front zip also has a storm flap on the inside, which diverts moisture away, and keeps cold draughts out. Finally, the outer material features a PFC-free DWR coating, making it permanently water-repellent.
