Product description
Protects you from the elements
With the Ravine Metawool 90 Jacket from Ortovox, you are ideally equipped for alpine adventures. Its front zip runs up to a chin guard, so everything stays comfortably soft around your neck. Meanwhile, a hood, elasticated cuffs and a stretchy hem keep wind and snow firmly outside. Thanks to a DWR treatment, rain simply runs off its surface. And as a bonus in safety, compatibility with back protectors makes this jacket the first choice for ambitious ski tourers.
Important items are always to hand
Two zipped front pockets offer you secure storage space for all your essentials - from a map to an energy bar. Even with a backpack or climbing harness on, you can easily get to your things, as the pockets are positioned to remain accessible and keep your valuables are protected. This means you have everything to hand when you're out and about without having to open up your jacket.
Warms without weighing you down
In addition, a high-quality blend of synthetic fibre and wool gives the jacket its special insulating power. With a fill weight of around 90 g/m², it provides cosy warmth without being bulky or weighing you down. While the wool helps to keep your body temperature constant, the synthetic fibre ensures that moisture is quickly wicked away - ideal for sweaty climbs and changeable weather.

Ortovox have excelled with the Ravine Metawool, creating a jacket that is functional as a midlayer/lightweight outer for cold dry days, a technical jacket that doesnt look like a piece of ski equipment and is great to wear out and about in general use.
Ive used the jacket most days since buying, on walks and cycling in the forest, and general use in temps 10 degress C down to zero and have never felt sweaty.
Nice features include zips to the pockets so nothing gets lost.
Ortovox missed making this a perfect jacket ommiting an internal chest zip pocket for a phone.
This will be my go to jacket as a mid layer this season
