Tough trekking boots for challenging tours
The Cloudalpine Waterproof by On are stable trekking boots for men that are ideal for technical terrain. They are made of a waterproof and durable polyamide ripstop upper and feature a lightweight and non-slip sole construction with excellent cushioning and energy return. In addition, these boots have a sturdy scree and mud protection.
Excellent cushioning and energy return
The sole is constructed of a combination of the patented Speedboard made of polyamide and carbon, which is located above the midsole, and the CloudTec elements that are typical for On. The Speedboard captures the energy you generate when you step on the ground and releases it when you lift your feet off the ground.In addition, the CloudTec elements in the midsole provide joint-friendly cushioning with every step, especially when walking downhill. Plus, the rubber outsole provides excellent traction on both wet and dry surfaces, keeping you safe on your mountain adventures.
All in all, the Cloudalpine Waterproof are absolutely perfect for hikers who want to go on long tours with a heavy backpack.

Hi, how do they fit compared to Scarpa boots in terms of width and length?

For a boot in this category the ankle support and stability will be on a par with another similar boot.

Depending on your hiking ambitions and experience you may need more support which only a heavier boot can provide. Otherwise, a nice , lightweight boot ideal for UK 3 season use.

These have the expected stiffness of any good walking boot but not the stiffness of a mountain boot.
