Product description
The Hornet by Nemo is a tent that brings together spacious comfort and low weight under one roof. Its small packed dimensions and lightweight design make it outstanding for short trekking tours, bike packing or a quick mountain tour and summit sleepover after work.
The Hornet makes amazing use of space despite having a minimalistic design. The FlyBar is an outrigger that is connected to the inner tent to provide more headroom when hooked onto the tent frame. The sophisticated attachment of the guy lines in triangular form extends the space in the area of the tent floor, providing more room for sleeping mats, sleeping bags and equipment.
The tent mainly owes its low weight to the high-quality material. Robust ripstop nylon in 15D or 10D material thickness has been used for the floor and the flysheet. Silicone and PU coatings make the material waterproof and increase its durability. Nevertheless, care is recommended for handling his extremely thin material. The tent can easily withstand light rain and wind, but storms and lashing rain should be avoided.
The Hornet by Nemo also has some practical features. The lightweight Y-shape frame is easy to put up. The lines and poles have been colour-coded which helps enormously. Two entrances and two vestibules make it easy for two people to use. The tent has light pockets for holding head torches to illuminate the inside of the tent. The hybrid inner tent made of nylon and mesh provides privacy and ventilation at the same time. The tent is easy to divide up among two people, thanks to the dividable Divvy stuff sack.
Note: In stronger winds, it is important to properly anchor the tent so that it stands stable and secure.
