Praise vs. Criticism
Ideal for cold weather
Took an aluminium and a Nalgene on a Norway exped, the aluminium one kept freezing and the small hole was a problem with ice. the Nalgene worked perfectly. Used the Nalgene bottles for nearly 6months now with no issues at all.

Too bulky
I was disappointed that the 1 l Nalgene wide mouth bottle was very bulky and did not fit well into the side pockets of my backpack. I returned it and re-ordered the much narrower Nalgene OTF.

You can put boiling water in it and use it as a hot water bottle whilst camping - it'll stay hot/warming you for at least 4 hours and then by morning it is lukewarm so you can drink it easily. It's not the best bottle to drink from whilst driving but then again it's not really made for that purpose - the mouthpiece is wide open so if you drink whilst driving, you are guaranteed to dribble but for drinking whilst hiking which is what I bought this bottle for, it's just the best! I am buying another two as gifts because I have loved this bottle so much. I have had mine for 3 years and it's very durable and been in high altitude hikes with me, too.
