Product description
Winter sleeping bag with a down fill for bivouacs and longer tours
The Glacier 1000 from Mountain Equipment is a down sleeping bag designed for alpine bivouacs in the open air as well as high altitude touring in challenging conditions. It features a water-repellent and durable Drilite Loft outer material with effective breathability properties. The body-hugging mummy shape effectively holds your body heat and prevents it from spreading into unused corners of the sleeping bag. This narrow Alpine Fit further optimises its thermal performance. Its comfort temperature is measured at -11 °C.
Optimum thermal performance
The insulation is made from Down Codex-certified duck down with a fill power of 700 cuin, which is sure to impress due to its outstanding thermal performance. Plus, its construction of trapezoidal baffles not only ensures that the down stays in place, but is also extremely economical in terms of weight. The slanted walls of the baffles further reduce their weight while increasing thermal performance. In addition, the hood features five baffles that guarantee the stability of the insulation around your head and neck. Meanwhile, the foot section is made up of a six baffle construction. A draught collar prevents heat from escaping and can easily be opened and closed using just one hand, thanks to the Lode-Lock closure - a combination of a magnetic and a mechanical closure.
Moreover, the sleeping bag also includes a waterproof stuff sack as well as an extra bag for easy storage at home.
All in all, the Glacier 1000 is a true all-rounder for winter bivouacs and long, demanding summit tours, offering you both protection and comfort.
