Product description
Stylish MTB helmet with a high protection factor
No one (not even a helmet) is indestructible, but the Deemax Pro MIPS from Mavic adds a great level of safety to trail and enduro riding. Its integrated MIPS technology reduces the rotational forces that can affect the brain in the event of a fall, minimising the risk of serious injury. The extended coverage at the temples and the back of the head also offers additional protection at critical areas. Plus, it features an adjustable visor that protects your eyes from the sun and deflects unexpected obstacles (e.g. branches) without distracting or restricting your field of vision.
Comfort from the start
The Deemax Pro MIPS features the Ergo Hold SL+, a lightweight, 3-position headband system that offers optimal adjustability, comfort and head support. The Live Fit technology with XRD foam offers an adaptive fit and absorbs vibrations. The Fidlock SNAP helmet buckle allows you to quickly and securely fasten and unfasten the helmet with just one hand.
Riding comfort
Strategically placed vents direct airflow to internal cooling channels, ensuring good ventilation while riding. In addition, the Coolmax padding absorbs heat and wicks away sweat to keep your head cool. The goggle tunnel is designed to allow the goggles to be stored while riding. This helmet is also compatible with goggles. It’s completed by a mesh screen that prevents insects from getting into the front openings.
The advantages at a glance:
- High level of head protection thanks to the MIPS technology and helmet shell that is pulled down to a low position
- Optimum ventilation and cooling thanks to the ventilation channels and Coolmax padding
- 3-position strap system ensures an optimal fit on the head

Reviews overview
This is what other customers say:
My search for a competent helmet originally led me to purchase a 7 iDP M2 BOA helmet, and while the fit was OK, the BOA lace/wire did not play well when used whilst wearing a scull cap.
Next I purchased a Smith Forefront 2 MIPS helmet, but I found this helmet to produce some uncomfortable pressure points on my head.
Then I tried an Endura MT500 MIPS in a size small but this was just a bit too small, so I tried the medium size. Whilst this did have more room, I could not get the correct fit, and it didn't feel particularly comfortable either. I could also feel it was heavy on my head - it's over 400g in weight.
The final helmet I purchased was the Mavic Deemax Pro MIPS in a medium size. As soon as I put it on I knew I had found the perfect helmet - super comfortable, and only requiring the chin strap to be adjusted to my face. I cannot believe the difference in fit and comfort between this Mavic helmet and the others I have mentioned. The shape is great and the padding is extensive; it is also quite light weight too.
Yes, the Deemax Pro MIPS is expensive, but Mavic have done a great job with this helmet - you will soon forget you are even wearing it.
This, an older helmet from Mavic, but very, very comfortable; I would recommend to anyone to try this helmet first.
--- review of an older model ---
Very happy with it.
I have the Mavic - Deemax Pro MIPS - Bike helmet, older model, 2023, dark green & yellow.
Was €68 on sale, maybe that was approx. half price, great price. Expensive now!
Comfortable, light, good sun protection peak over eyes/nose/face.
Inner mesh is good against flies.
Colour is good to be seen on road.
I need to buy inner padding, the forehead padding is coming apart but is still doing its job. I think it can be bought.
