I used this base layer for an inceclimbing trip and I have to say it was quite warm. I had expected it to be a bit more elastic, so for some movements it was not very practical, specially the bottoms, and the sew around the wrist was a bit tight. I will continue using it because it was surprisingly warm giving how thin it is, and it would be definetely good for hiking.
