This sturdy and robust backpacking boot has proved itself many times over on the toughest treks all over the world and on countless multi-day alpine expeditions. The TIBET GTX® is even quite at home on via ferratas. The one-piece, 2.5 mm nubuck leather upper provides stability. The LOWA 'FlexFit? System allows an easy, natural motion of the ankle. The collar and tongue edges have extremely soft trim. Achieve optimal heel positioning with the proprietary Lace Loop technology and the patented 'I-Lock? locking hooks that work to secure your foot in place with its two-zone lacing system. The waterproof GORE-TEX® lining provides good temperature regulation. The self-cleaning Vibram® 'Masai? outsole with its large lugs shaped for uphill and downhill traction provides outstanding footing on all surfaces, guaranteed. The detailed midsole construction guarantees perfect fit and offers the utmost in comfort with its last that is somewhat wider overall in the forefoot and somewhat higher overall in the toe box. This boot, which uses the highest quality materials, is strap-on crampon compatible.

Very happy with the walking Boots excellent quality I have already tried them on a short hike lovely and comfortable I would highly recommend the Lowa Tibet the best in German manufacturing and Thanks Alpine Trek

These come up much larger than any other Lowas I've tried. Shame as they look like a good boot but even going a size down didn't work for me - there was too much volume in the boot. I've worn various Lowas for 17 years but these just didn't work for me.

I am a size UK 14 and have been advised to get a UK in the Lowa to allow for wearing heavier socks and comfort, is this true? Thanks
Hello Graham,
the "Extra" is a normal to wider fit for the big sizes. We can't say for sure, which size you need. I think you just have to try, like you do in a local store. If you want to, you can order more sizes and send back the unfitting ones.
