Bought these to replace my Scarpa Mescalitos. Worn once on a climbing day in North Wales 7 mile round trip with 1000m ascent.
The sole has started to detach from the midsole on both shoes. (Worn once!]
On the left shoe the sole has detached nearly 2 square inches.
I was climbing free solo Cwm Glas Mawr then Parsons Nose and then Clogwyn y person arete. These are grade 3/3S climbs.
This shoe is dangerous and could have caused a very serious fall if the sole had come away anymore
If you fall from Parsons Nose you will probably die
Beside the build quality the shoe was more comfortable than my scarpas and the grip was better
But I cannot recommend this shoe and others have reported same issues online !
Alpinetrek have been great BTW with a very fast refund
