Product description
If you’re in the market for a pair of abrasion-resistant mountaineering boots, then look no further than the Trango Tech Leather GTX from La Sportiva. They boast a non-slip La Sportiva Cube sole that was specially designed for La Sportiva by Vibram. Plus, the boots are perfectly compatible with semi-automatic crampons thanks to its TPU insert at the heel. In addition, the toe and heel of the shoe are reinforced with a durable PU protective layer to protect against damage caused by rocks and scree. To complement the Trango Tech Leather GTX’s sole design, the shoes are equipped with a polyurethane midsole along with a 4 mm PPE insole with fibre glass reinforcements. As for the ergonomically optimised collar, it boasts a 2-zone lacing made of functional materials to ensure both comfort and stability. But that’s not all: the Nubuck leather and microfibre blend is supported by the waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX Performance Comfort lining, which will keep your feet dry when walking through the rain, snow and ice. Perfect!

Not sure why blisters is a disadvantage, these are only caused when a boot doesn't fit you correctly. That's not the boot's fault.
Been using these for over a year now. Once broken in they offer excellent comfort. perfect grip even in slippy surfaces.

Hi Matthew, These will suit any crampon with either a strap-on or semi-automatic binding. If it's for general mountaineering then the Grivel G-12 would be interesting and with the New-Matic binding.

I was very impressed with the quality of the shoe.. Very fast delivery (3-4 work days)
Shoe is ideal for hiking/trekking in all four seasons.
After a year and a half, my sole broke :(
The shoe completely soaked my foot during hike at snow.
