The G2 SM Expedition boots by La Sportiva are ideal for demanding journeys and can easily withstand sub-zero temperatures for days. The insulating inner shaft is made up of four layers: With water repellent cordura, felt, polyethylene and a special aluminum coating to reflect the heat of the foot. All layers are perfectly matched.The G2 SM Expedition boots have a cordura gaiter and a waterproof membrane to prevent water and snow from getting inside the shoe. It is also flexible enough to not hinder the mobility of the foot. The gaiter can be tightened with a drawstring for on excellent fit.The G2 SM Expedition boots have a breathable and removable inner boot, which can dry outside the tent or hut after a long day. La Sportiva added a Vibram sole to provide a nice grip and durability. The midsole has an Impact brake system for a better footing downhill and nice cushioning. Naturally the G2 SM Expedition boots are fully crampon compatible and state-of-art - just like all products by Val di Fiemme.
