The Speedgoat 5 from HOKA has been one of the most popular trail running shoes for years. This isn’t surprising, as the all-rounder lets you master technically demanding trails and also ensures comfort when running long distances.

Protective upper

The shoes feature a double-layered jacquard functional mesh upper. This very durable material is very breathable. It also protects the shoes from debris and lets sweat escape to the outside.

Balanced cushioning and a good running feel

The midsole has balanced cushioning, which means it offers the perfect balance between comfort and firmness. This makes them suitable for long, moderate runs as well as slightly faster-paced runs. In addition, the running feel is stable and precise, so you stay in control even on demanding trails. The Late Stage Meta-Rocker construction, which is slightly curved at the front, also improves the rolling motion.

Excellent traction even in wet conditions

The outsole is made of the tried-and-tested Vibram Megagrip rubber with 5 mm deep lugs. This guarantees excellent and durable traction even on wet surfaces.

Neutral insole and moderate drop

The neutral, symmetrical insole and 4mm height difference between the heel and forefoot, which is also known as the drop, is similar to most trail running shoes. The Speedgoat 5 should work well for runner with healthy feet and good technique. There is a special model for wide feet that has a slightly wider cut.
