Reviews overview
This is what other customers say:
I purchased and returned several pairs of boots before settling on these Garmont Nebraska's, despite there being very few reviews. I have a medium width foot and a relatively low arch, and I regularly hike with my son in a carrier on my back which adds up to about 15kg's in all. I previously ruptured my ACL and have torn cartilage in both knees, and my previous La Sportiva Pyramids were not good at supporting my ankles and knees, particularly on descents.
These boots have made such a difference for my hiking! Usually, I would begin to feel pain in my knees around 8-9 miles into a hike, and descending I would often tweak my knee leaving me in agony. Since switching I've realised I needed a much stiffer and more supportive boot, which these provide whilst still being flexible enough to be comfortable in the forefoot for longer hikes. They definitely fit in somewhere between a mid-height technical boot like a Scarpa Rush 2 and something heavier like a Salewa Rapace (which has a very uncomfortable and huge arch support for low arch walkers like me).
On descents I feel much more in control and have a lot less fatigue in my feet from needing to adjust my balance constantly, so if you regularly hike with moderately heavy weight or want to support your knees better, I would highly recommend these boots. They also appear to be very well made, but I haven't had time to fully test this in practice.
