Lightweight approach shoes for difficult terrain
The Dragontail Synth GTX from Garmont are extremely lightweight approach shoes with a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane. They’re great for difficult terrain with steep uphill and downhill passages. Made of a strong synthetic fabric with welded reinforcements, the shoes are abrasion resistant and your feet will be protected against scree.
Flexible sole construction and stable heel position
The slightly softer sole construction of the GTF diamond outsole and the dense EVA midsole not only offer you a good feel of the surface’s texture, but also excellent traction. They are ideal for smaller climbs during the approach. Another great feature includes the heel lock system that ensures your heels sit firmly inside the shoes and don’t slip. This prevents blisters and provides extra control on technical passages. The Garmont shoes are completed by a soft, heel-supported Ultralite Ortholite insole for enhanced comfort.
