On my second pair
I live in these shoes, work, adventure, travel. Rand is also super durable and does not delaminate like ever other rand I have ever had.

Previous 2 Mountain approach shoes. Salomon X-Alp and Scarpa Mojito.
Comfortable, breathable, Warm. Easy to adjust tension along the length of the shoe. Foot bed stability good. Foot print generous.
Garmont Footbed stability poor. Foot print much reduced, Compared with the above two shoes (see images). Also the heel is too high too for such a narrow shoe. Threatens Ankle injury, even on lowland forest paths. Metal eyelets for the laces provide little friction, making it impossible to adjust tension along the length of the foot. Not waterproof, no bellows. step in a puddle and your foot will be wet. Have walked 8 miles in these. Will not wear them again.
