Product description
You don't herd reindeer but you do play outside in wintry weather. The Fjallraven Women's Luhkka Jacket won't let you fly through the air or give you a butler named Alfred Pennyworth, but it will keep you warm whether you wear it alone or over another jacket when the lines on the thermometer don't go low enough.Instead a traditional jacket design, the Luhkka is actually a cape, but no superpowers are included. Made from G1000 fabric treated with Greenland wax, the outer fabric will resist sprinkles and intrusive gusts of wind, at least from the front. Fjallroven's own Supreme Micro Loft synthetic insulation provides warmth without weight. Supreme Micro Loft is a blend of thin and slightly thicker microfibers coated in silicon. The variety in the microfibers creates pockets of air in the same way down clusters create a matrix of air pockets. Air pockets create an invisible boundary between the cold air outside and the warm air surrounding your body, so the warm air stays where you want it'around you.Because the Luhkka is a cape, you can wear it as your only jacket, or throw it over a hoodless jacket for an extra layer of warmth. Large kangaroo pockets hold your cell phone and your toddler's toys, and a zippered chest pocket keeps cash and kiddie snacks safe. The Luhkka has a hood with a removable fur lining and a half-zip neck, so you can customize the jacket to fit the weather. Buttons at the wrists keep this cape from flapping away with you in it. You can't fly, but you can flap your wings freely and stay warm while wearing the Luhkka.

Ideal for winter conditions whilst working/leisure. Very hardwearing, possibly for ever.
Add the fur trim for snow, fasten the studs around the hem to stop wind/rain. Squat down & it becomes a shelter. Quilted so not ideal in warm weather. Will & can be rewaxed for waterproofing.

The size guide suggested an X-LARGE but You don’t have that size in the colour I want?
Hi Nancy,
The Fjällräven Women's Luhkka has an oversized fit. I would think it highly likely that size L would be more than enough for you:

Hi Polly,
It's important to remember that the material used here , G1000 fabric, 65% polyester and 35% cotton , is not waterproof but you can add extra water repellency by using Fjallraven's Greenland wax.
I really like the look of this but would not want to buy real fur… could you let me know what is in the hood please.
Thank you.
Hi Zoë, You'll be pleased to know that this is synthetic / fake fur.
I’m a British size 12
Hi Helen, For UK size 12 I would suggest a size M.
Oh thanks, I’ve been reading some reviews which seemed to suggest going smaller. I’m feeling uncertain. Perhaps it depends on if you wear stuff underneath?

Exactly that , much depends on what you're wearing underneath as well. Perhaps order both size S and M to try at home then return the one that doesn't fit for a refund.
I want to get my wife a Lukka, but how do I work out what size to get her?
I’m 5 7 and a size 12........bought medium......perfect fit
My wife is 5 1 and a size 14. Is the sizing on length or girth?
Hmm I’m thinking a m now maybe although I guess it depends upon your frame etc. I had been thinking a small
