Lightweight and compact for via ferratas
Lightweight, compact and easy to use: meet the Cable Kit Lite VI from Edelrid. The via ferrata set ensures optimal safety on via ferratas, so a successful tour is guaranteed. It features a large tie-in loop, so you’ll be able to attach it to your harness with a girth hitch. Plus, it’s equipped with a compact shock absorber that won’t interfere whilst hooking or during your tour. It’s also been designed for users between 40-120 kg and it provides remarkably low impact forces.
In addition, the arms are directly connected to the shock absorber, so the overall set is more lightweight. The arms themselves are elastic and also allow shorter people to handle them comfortably and close to their body. The via ferrata carabiners are also easy to use and can be opened with a single hand movement thanks to the palm squeeze mechanism. Plus, you won’t need to worry about it unintentionally opening.

really lightweight and small + the arms are shorter than average - good for kids. carabiners are not the best handling ones but they seem to be robust. the non-lite version has better handling carabiners, we have one of that too - however that large carabiner has one plastic component, so does not look that massive as this one. beware - the most expensive version which has a "comfort" untangling device has much longer arms / reach and that is definitely too long for children (and heavy too). overall this is a good one.
