Have a North Face Basecamp and its a very solid construction and can take a beating but sucks for features - no strap stow, no side carry straps, tight end pocket. This is thinner material and feels like it could puncture more easily (compared to NF) but is much more feature rich and makes hauling clothes easier. I like the strap stow and compartments this bag provides. Only time will tell about the durability.
