Warm lining and hardwearing
In addition, the outer material is made from hardwearing polyester, making the coat a durable companion that can take on anything. Plus, the insulation is also made from durable and easy-to-care-for polyester fibres that keep you pleasantly warm in cold and windy conditions. Thanks to the large, adjustable hood, your head and face are well protected, while the elasticated cuffs prevent cold air from entering the sleeves. Lastly, you can safely store small items in the pockets such as tissues, a smartphone or your purse, while you're out and about.

This coat has a regular fit so your normal size should be ideal.
Didriksons have a scale of 3 levels of warmth (copied from their website):
Shell - This is a shell garment and has no insulating properties.
Warm - This garment is warm and has insulating properties with a padding level between 100-140 g/m2.
Extra warm - This garment is extra warm and has highly insulating properties with a padding level between 160-300 g/m2.
Which one does coat have, please?

This coat uses a fill of 180 g/m2 and falls into the extra warm category from Didriksons.
Hi Catharine,
40 C wash with a mild detergent or Nikwax Techwash on a synthetic cycle.
After washing it would be worth reviving the DWR treatment with the likes of Nikwax TX Direct.

Wondering if once I’m moving I’ll be too warm tho we go up onto the mountain tops in freezing and windy conditions… is it breathable?
Hi Debbie,
The Antje is very much a city style coat for colder weather which is not at all suitable for hiking. It's much to long, heavy and too well insulated.
Best to stick with a layering system when it comes to clothing for hiking so you can better control your temperature when needed.
Hi Janet, In size 38 the back length will be approximately 90cm. Size 40 will only be ever so slightly longer.
