The Trail Back walking poles from Black Diamond are equipped with soft, ergonomic grips for maximum comfort even on long tours. They feature durable wrist straps that prevent you from dropping them unintentionally. These also enable a good power transfer to help you move forwards. It's hard to beat these poles for the price. Very sturdy and easy to adjust. The only way they could be better is if they were lighter but then the cost would go up. If you are looking to get your first pair of poles for hiking you couldn't do better as they aren't much more expensive than the cheap ones that break all the time. Can't imagine I'll need to ever buy another pair
