Product description
The Fortrez Hoody by Arc'teryx is a high-end fleece jacket suitable for Alpine climbing and mountaineering. The name puts you in mind of a fortress holding out against cold and storms. And for a fleece jacket it is also exceptionally tough. The already robust Power Stretch fabric by Polartec is further reinforced with a smooth Hardface outer layer which gives the fleece strong windproof qualities and even makes it impenetrable (and therefore water-repellent). The fabric is also very elastic, durable (backpack compatible) and dries faster than standard fleece! In combination with a svelte, hip-length fit and the ergonomically-formed contour hood the Fortrez Hoody is a universal jacket that can be worn as a middle or outer layer in cold weather! It slips perfectly under an insulating or weather-resistant jacket for wear during climbing, or in mild weather, simply on its own.Other features include the three easily-accessible pockets as well as the hood-integrated balaclava made from Phasic AR. This lies flat in the collar and can be pulled up for use as a scarf, muffler or balaclava when necessary. So you won't need to take a separate balaclava or a pipe scarf with you because you'll always be protected against storm winds in cold weather! The Fortrez Hoody by Arc'teryx is immensely versatile and sophisticated and can simultaneously replace both your fleece and softshell jacket in dry weather!
