Product description
Stay dry in any weather
With the Beta AR Jacket from Arc'teryx, you are perfectly equipped for any weather. This jacket features a 3-layer laminate with a GORE-TEX ePE membrane, which consists of a durable outer layer, a waterproof and breathable membrane and a comfortable lining - so you always stay cosy and dry, even in sudden downpours. The DWR treatment on the outer simply repels water so that you can concentrate fully on your outdoor adventures.
Feel safe in any situation
Safety is a top priority with this jacket. An integrated RECCO reflector enables rescue workers to locate you quickly in an emergency - a reassuring extra, especially in remote areas. Plus, reflective details increase your visibility in low light conditions. Adjustable cuffs, an extended back and a helmet-compatible hood with a peak offer you extra protection and comfort - whether for your morning commute or when climbing in the mountains.
Have everything to hand on the move
In addition, this jacket features many practical details, such as two zipped front pockets and a secure inner pocket that provide space for your mobile phone or energy bars. Meanwhile, underarm zips allow you to easily regulate your temperature under the jacket - ideal for intense bursts of movement or changeable weather. Weighing around 460 grams, the jacket remains pleasantly light, allowing excellent versatility - from casual walks to summit attempts.
The advantages at a glance:
- Waterproof and breathable
- Integrated RECCO reflector

The only thing i would change on this jacket is that i should of gone for the SV or the Alpha SV because the material was too thin for what i was looking for .

As the name suggested, it's my last outer layer. For this I had to size up and went with XXL even though all of my Arc'teryx items are XL. I wore it on my trekking and hiking as well as on my high-altitude climbs (up to 6000 m), and it delivers. It's light and breathable, and it does what it should: stop wind and rain. I bought mine on -60%, so I can't talk about the expensive side of the product. As for the durability, we will see with time.
