The Timp Hiker GTX from Altra are very interesting shoes. The running specialists have taken the comfort and cushioning from running and turned it into a really good waling and trekking shoe that looks good in the city, but will also serve you well on a strenuous day hike or even a week-long trek! The high collar provides good stability and the Vibram Megagrip sole offers great traction on wet and dry surfaces. The lightweight upper material is breathable so that the inside remains warm and dry.
Waterproof and windproof
The Timp Hiker GTX are made for draughty, wet and cold weather conditions! GTX indicates that the shoes have a classic GORE-TEX membrane, which ensures that the upper material remains breathable but is also waterproof and windproof. As a result, your feet will be protected from the elements. They’re completed by a TPU cap over the toe area that provides additional protection.
