These shoes extend a bit over the ankle, so they're more like mid hiking shoes than true boots. They have no traditional tongue so are a bit hard to put on but they fit very nice, sock-like, almost no heel movement on my size 50 feet. The forefoot is surprisingly wider than other Adidas outdoor models I had or tried. Remember the tongue area has no padding so lacing up tight will hurt! Boost cushioning is very responsive and springy.
