Proven to be waterproof - it was raining cats and dogs for 2 days on Fjallraven Classic Sweden'22. You have no chance to dry these quickly, so it is essential that they are really waterproof and remain dry inside for the next day even when stored wet and muddy! Both of my sons loved them, they were warm and comfortable to wear for 2 days, 20 km and 10 hours a day... They used it on their own and with lightweight trousers as well, warm enough on its own in 10C. The cuff design did not let any water coming to their boots. Waist was comfortable with heavy backpacks. The garment holds well even if small ones kneeling in mud - and remain waterproof even then!
