I bought these in August, it's now the beginning of November, they've been used to walk about 5km most days and there's already a small hole in the fabric near the toe.
These shoes are nice and light, very much on the running shoe side of the approach shoe spectrum. The uppers are not waterproof at all, but that's expected for this kind of shoe. The soles are pretty good, the tread is effective on mud and loose stones, the rubber sticks to dry rock enough to smear and there's a small climbing zone near the toe, although it is fairly useless since the shoes will bend away if you try and edge.
The *huge* problem is the leather area around the toe does not extend far enough back and the fabric area is flimsy. The result was a small hole near my big toe, far too quickly for shoes which cost this much. This completely ruins what are otherwise fairly good looking shoes for casual use.
I wouldn't recommend them for scrambling, hiking or casual wear.
