This is what other customers say:
Hi Eric, This boot is suitable for fairly high altitude mountaineering , up to about 5,000m or so. They are extremely stiff and not suitable for regular walking but will be warm enough for use in snow. For use on ice, just like any other boot they will need a crampon to provide the grip that is needed. What are you looking for exactly?
I have Zamberlan leather walking boots but looking for a winter walking boot suitable for snow & ice and crampons
Ah! Ok! Then these will be ideal and you can choose any crampon binding you wish. Strap-on , semi-automatic or fully automatic!
But you mentioned they were extremely stiff, are they suitable for walking?
Yes, they are stiff which is necessary for the purpose of the boot. If you're looking for a more general winter mountaineering boot, perhaps the Scarpa Manta Tech would be a better choice?

These would have been brilliant boots, I am sure. The quality is excellent and they are nice and sturdy. I unfortunately had to return them. I normally wear a 42.5 in hiking boots and ordered this size but they were at least a full size too small, 43.5 would have been better. Check your recommended size in the finder before purchasing!

Hi Bogdan,
These will have a regular fit. Best to have a look at boots from Hanwag or Mammut for the wider fit you need.
