Hi Duncan, According to Scarpa , an EU 43 equates to a UK 8 3/4. I'd say , in your case, go for the 43.5.

Hi Aly, Not the best option for a wider foot although some get away with it. Probably best to opt for a wider fitting brand such as Lowa , Hanwag or Mammut.
