Easy alpine terrain or extended trekking tours are a playground for the Charmoz HD mountaineering boots by Scarpa! They are a sporty option for more demanding mountain tours. Their synthetic upper is enhanced by HDry technology. This keeps the shoe completely waterproof while also delivering excellent breathability. For more protection from dirt and scree, the sides have a protective rubber edge. The toes and heels are also reinforced, which is particularly useful for alpine terrain.
The stable Vibram outsole provides maximum stability on any surface. The special rubber compound makes it extremely durable. The midsole is made in different thicknesses for maximum shock absorption. This cushions your stride, so your feet don’t tire prematurely. The shoes can also be combined with semi-automatic crampons. The Charmoz HD is a great choice for moderate alpine tours!

Are they a true to size fit?
Are they suitable for people with wide feet?

Are these boots compatible with Grevel C12 crampons please?

I have really mixed feelings. I thought it will be wonderful Mountaineering tool, actually one that fits my Yeti size foot, but it cause blisters all the time. Does not matter whether I have one trekking socks, one thin and one more durable it always cause blisters. On the other hand, when you have Yeti feet you cannot complain too much.
On the positive, it is well made and durable.
