It sports the same rugged construction as the standard X Ultra 2'a non-marking Contagrip sole, foot-hugging Quicklace system, and Salomon's supportive Advanced Chassis'but with the added protection of a Gore-Tex Performance Comfort waterproof and breathable membrane. You can splash through puddles and conquer muddy trails without worrying that your feet will get soaked, and you still have the comfort of the X Ultra's Ortholite sockliner and cushy EVA midsole protecting your foot from rough and technical terrain. Salomon also included an EVA footbed and molded shank for extra comfort and protection, along with foot-supporting Sensifit construction for a snug, comfortable fit that will have you moving like a magician when things get challenging.
