Product description
The Speedcross 5 trail running shoes are one of Salomon’s absolute classic trail running offerings. They boast the same distinctive lug design as their predecessors, so they’re guaranteed to provide grip and traction on technical, mountainous terrain. Plus, they come equipped with a quick-lacing system for quick and easy adjustments as well as a lace pocket on the tongue to keep them out of the way. Apart from all the excellent technical features, the shoes just look spectacular, so you can run the trails or roam the hills with pride! The flexible upper is very tough, so it’s perfectly capable of taking a beating on the trails. Plus, it adapts perfectly to the movements of the foot, so you’ll always be comfortable out there.

Fantastic service from Alpine Trek, but the product was such a disappointment. As a fan of Speedcross 4 (no longer available) I found Speedcross 5 almost unrecognisable. It is so light, soft and flimsy like a road shoe attached to trail shoe sole. So the great security and solidity, like wearing an indestructible tank on each foot, is gone. That is the feature I loved. Also the sizing is bizarre, extremely long. My sizing has almost 2cm extra space at the toe. Can't run in that. What a shame they ruined this product. Now on the hunt for anyone still selling the old model!
